Software Engineer I / II

Samumed is a pharmaceutical platform company based in San Diego, California, focused on advancing regenerative medicine and oncology applications through research and innovation (www.samumed.com). Samumed has discovered new targets and biological processes in the Wnt pathway, allowing the company to develop small molecule drugs that have the potential to address numerous degenerative conditions as well as many forms of cancer. Samumed is currently conducting clinical trials for multiple disease areas, including oncology, osteoarthritis, Alzheimer's disease, androgenetic alopecia, and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and it has a broad pipeline targeting areas of significant unmet medical need.

Job Description and Responsibilities:
Samumed is looking for a talented Software Engineer I or II to join its Software Development Team. This position will be based in Samumed's Irving, Texas office, and the specific title will be dependent upon a candidate's experience level. Specific responsibilities of the position will include:

• Working closely with other engineers, under the direction of the Associate Director of Software Development, on a team to develop, test and maintain various software solutions, using predominantly the .NET technology stack
• Developing and modifying Custom Functions in C# and SQL within the Medidata Rave tool
• Maintaining strong focus on Customer Satisfaction by delivering exceptional project performance and predictable, repeatable project results
• Supporting existing web applications and using debugging skills to resolve issues with these systems
• Learning new methodologies, patterns and technologies Performance tuning of existing internal and external software applications
• Working with cross-functional clinical and scientific teams to ensure data integration and system efficiencies in terms of analytics, visualization and reporting
• Providing custom solutions within existing applications to increase efficiency in data review and interpretation

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree is preferred
• Experience developing secure web-based applications
• Experience with asp.net, C#, Web API, MVC, Entity Framework, and JavaScript is required
• Experience with Angular is preferred
• Experience with SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate within the Development and Cross-Functional Teams
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, capable of maintaining timeliness and deliverables, analytical, and possess strong problem solving skills
• Experience with Medidata Rave Custom Function development a plus
• 2+ years development experience
