YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES AT THE GARABEDIAN GROUP
We are looking for someone who possesses the following competencies, or has the desire to develop these competencies through training:
In-depth advisory and business planning to guide clients in all stages of their business from start-up to succession planning and ownership transfers.
Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with clients as a trusted advisor in all aspects of business operations, accounting, and tax. Guide clients in complex financial decisions and provide support for recommendations.
Preparation of federal and state tax returns and supporting work papers - Individual, Corporate, Trust, and Partnership returns of various complexities. Prepare extensions and quarterly estimates.
Prepare tax projections to assist clients with personal financial planning and decision-making.
Analyze and adjust general ledgers. Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Conduct tax research as needed. Advise clients on changes in tax laws and compliance.
Advise and mentor junior staff and interns to foster knowledge and expertise.
2+ years of public accounting experience, CPA License or actively pursuing licensure.
Experience preparing tax returns - Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S.
Experience in tax software like UltraTax, ProSystems, Lacerte, and Quickbooks Desktop/Online.
Demonstrate excellent team skills, a positive attitude, and high ethical standards.
Exhibit strong project management skills, time management, and the ability to work mindfully with others.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Proactive and motivated with personal accountability for professional growth.
