Sales Administrative Assistant

Job Description

Olympia Food Industries, a manufacturer of Greek & Mediterranean foods, is seeking a Sales & Marketing Coordinator to join the team! This is an on site 8-hour shift running from 8:00am to 4:30pm, regularly from Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour break. This position's starting pay is $20.00 an hour. This starting pay may be negotiable dependent on applicant's knowledge, experience, resume & reference. Raises may be available annually after a positive performance review. 


This Sales and Marketing Coordinator role would coordinate marketing events and trade shows, support sales and marketing operations by compiling, and reporting information, maintain marketing output info, and assisting in all administrative aspects of the company's sales and marketing. Additionally, this role would require the individual to represent the company at trade shows and marketing events in the Chicagoland area. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are interested in the food industry and want to utilize their project management, sales and marketing skills.


  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field preferred (Required)
  • 3+ years' marketing, sales or relevant experience
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects/tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Flexible Schedule (some evening and weekends required)
  • Own transportation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel. Knowledge of CRM software.


  • Works closely with and supports the sales and customer service team
  • Orders, creates, updates and enhances marketing materials
  • Acts as system administrator for CRM, updates and prepares sales reports
  • Product Global Data Synchronization Network platform (GDSN) maintenance & management. 
  • Manages and maintains customer incentive program
  • Coordinates marketing events and trade shows
  • Distributes product samples and marketing materials to current and prospective customers
  • Builds relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Various administrative duties as requested

Work Environment

  • Temperature of the office is regularly regulated to a comfortable temperature.
