Aramark is currently seeking a Safety & Operations Manager to support LEGOLAND Florida Resort in Winter Haven, FL! The Safety & Operations Manager will coordinate efforts targeting a holistic approach to assist the organization with implementation of safety and risk control programs, processes, and procedures to protect people, property, environment, and company assets. This position will function as a strategic operational support generalist to enhance safety and risk process improvements. This role will also function as a key point of contact for addressing operational needs as they related to occupational safety, food safety & sanitation compliance, employee training and support execution of all Aramark safety processes & procedures. Training and coaching of management teams and staff is a main function within this role.    

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain active presence in the operation before, during and after park hours 
  • Assist staff, managers and guests with basic inquiries and operational tasks 
  • Conduct weekly food safety audits
  • Distribute daily safety briefs
  • Conduct and track safe observations
  • Conduct and track safe inspections
  • Coordinate and conduct monthly employee safety meetings
  • Trainings
    • ServSafe
    • Aramark Safe
  • DOH Management
    • Develop relationships
  • Incident Management 
    • Insurance/WC Claim Management
    • Safety Metrics Goal Attainment
  • GMM involvement/management
  • Monitor Jolt data and collaborate with culinary team to update allergen binders as needed
  • Review, update, and/or create SOPs for all food service locations
  • Create and maintain training programs and processes
  • Manage Cleaning Chemical program
  • Manage Safety and PPE program
  • Manage Daily, Monthly, and Open/Close Clean procedures
  • Collaborate with corporate and the DOH on obtaining new and renewing existing licenses/certificates
  • Manage the relationship with the inhouse cleaning crew to ensure the cleanliness of all locations
  • Enforce county, state, federal and company-specific food safety and sanitation guidelines 
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly and period end reports
  • Maintain proactive communication with all levels of staff and management 
  • Enforce company and building policies and recommends discipline, where appropriate 
  • Provide support for other departments and/or components as needed 
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred?- Safety &?Health, Business Administration, or Public Health?Degree?Preferred 
  • 2+?years of food safety and/or occupational experience 
  • Certified ServSafe trainer is preferred or ability to obtain training certification within first 6 months of employment
  • Flexibility?to work within?a dynamic?work?environment?and a matrix style?reporting structure 
  • Excellent?verbal & written communication skills 
  • Essential computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong?Coaching,?Influencing & Negotiating skills
  • Comfortability in providing training and coaching to management and hourly employees
  • Ability to proactively assess location food and occupational needs, assist in finding solutions to needs in conjunction with operational team 
  • Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Physical ability to move around large stadiums, arenas, or convention centers for the duration of the scheduled events
  • Previous management/training experience required
  • Previous occupational, food, and/or culinary experience in a high-volume venue or health /?regulatory?department preferred
  • Ability to legally travel within the United States and Canada on an as needed support basis
