Our Recess Coach position may be PERFECT for you!
The Recess Coach is responsible for managing the recess schedule for all K-8 school-age youth, expanding SEL knowledge school-wide, and being a proactive team member within their school environment.
A Day in the Life of a Recess Coach:
Organizing schedule for recess in partnership with school administration
Overseeing a team of school staff to support recess
Building relationships with school staff and students
Leading activities based on play and SEL
Managing transitions to and from the lunch and recess spaces
Supporting school SEL needs, as needed

Urban Initiatives' mission is to empower Chicago's youth to become community leaders through academic success, healthy living, and social-emotional learning.
