Job Description

The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and assists in all of the property's maintenance needs, physical appearance, and work orders. The Maintenance Technician's primary responsibilities include hands-on maintenance of the property, general upkeep and repair to units and the grounds, responding promptly to work order requests, make-readies, and maintaining excellent resident relations through outstanding C.A.R.E. service. On-call and some weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Maintenance Supervisor in daily tasks
  • Maintain positive resident relations through our CARE service
  • Participate in the daily operations of the property
  • Respond to work orders
  • Ground and exterior upkeep as needed
  • Oversee turn and make ready process
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections
  • Inspecting units for move-in readiness
  • Ensure company policy, state and federal safety guidelines and laws, and Fair Housing laws are adhered to
  • Hands-on maintenance 
  • Must be able to provide own transportation, as driving between properties is required (gas allowance paid in addition to salary)

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of 1-year maintenance experience preferred
  • Maintenance experience in multifamily communities and single-family homes preferred
  • Experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC preferred
  • HVAC Certification preferred
  • Good organizational and people skills
  • Must have a basic understanding of computer/mobile devices to utilize our work systems
  • Must be able to lift and work with heavy equipment and tools
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and vehicle insurance
