Collaborative Therapy is currently looking for a licensed mental health counselor to work remotely and, eventuallyin person. We anticipate a combination of both telehealth and in-person psychotherapy indefinitely as we have learned from our clients that they value many aspects of telehealth.   

Qualifications & Skills:  

  • Current/Active LMHC license in the state of New York for at least 3 years 

  • Must have high-speed internet access 

  • Must have HIPAA compliant space to use on a consistent basis for job responsibilities 

  • Must be comfortable working remotely and seeing clients via telehealth  

  • Experience working with complex and diverse populations 

  • Self-directed and individual accountability 

  • Excellent time management skills  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortability working with children through adults with active suicidality 

  • Proficient in managing risk and collaborating with other providers 

  • Team orientated 

  • Proactive and responsible  

  • Excellent work ethic 

  • Willingness to learn additional evidence-based modalities 

  • Hold a developed insight to your own areas of growth, biases, and willingness to work on them. 

  • Hold a flexible, adaptable, curious, empathetic, and appropriately optimistic mindset 

 

Additional skills preferred, not required 

  • Knowledge and/or training in mentalization-based treatment  

  • Knowledge in adaptive mentalization-based integrative treatment 

  • Knowledge in psychoanalysis 

  • Knowledgeable or proficient in LGBTQIA+, nontraditional relationship structures, and sex work issues 

  • Experience using Simple Practice  

  • Experience working in home and community settings 

Job Requirements: 

  • Hold a case load of at least 27 clients per week

  • Combination of insurance and private pay 

  • Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner (within 24hrs or less of session) 

  • Intake documents 

  • SOAP notes  

  • Various Assessment  

  • Ability to attend group supervision (currently held on Wednesday at 6pm) 

  • Work well with our team and ability to communicate in a non-hierarchical manner. 

  • Provide individual, relationship, family, and/or group therapy. (Group therapy is held with 2 providers) 

  • Dedication to growing your caseload and Collaborative as a whole 

  • Maintain an updated/accurate schedule of availability, client statuses, and supervisions  

  • Willingness to learn additional modalities  

  • Develop relationships with other providers within and outside of the Collaborative umbrella 

  • Communicate with clients via phone, text, and/or email outside of session for support, crisis and/or risk assessments 

  • Maintain HIPAA compliance  

  • Continue learning and growing as a provider 

  • Hold the mindset that all members of Collaborative hold equal value

Yearly Income: $98,000-$150,000
