Field Operations Specialist

Job Description

The person that fulfills the role of Field Operations Specialist reports directly to the Field Operations Manager. As this person will aid in the development of the franchise, they must possess the ability to multitask in regards to all areas of business management and quickly adapt to new and changing situations with efficiency and positivity. Travel is a main component of this job, as this person will complete monthly trips for events, such as grand openings, trainings, and compliance evaluations. Time not spent traveling will be split between office days and practical experience days taking shifts in corporate The Dog Stop locations. As The Dog Stop expects this person to be an expert in operations, the first 6 weeks of employment will heavily comprise of training in the corporate locations, learning how to execute all daily store operations. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Work closely with Field Operations Manager, Franchise Owners, and General Managers to ensure compliance of standard operating procedures set forth by The Dog Stop.
  • Work in tandem with The Dog Stop's Marketing department to implement and execute marketing plans sanctioned by The Dog Stop Corporate or the Franchisees. 
  • Ability to lead, influence and develop operational capability with a diverse group of Franchise Owners
  • Evaluates and drive individual franchisee operations excellence, as measured by customer feedback and internal evaluations.
  • Participate in monthly meetings with Franchisees
  • Facilitate training and organization of staff before, during, and after the franchise's grand opening. 
  • Assist new franchise locations in opening by training new employees and overseeing operations during the week leading up to or the week after their grand opening
  • The Specialist will support existing Franchise locations in development, support, and improvement through onsite visits.
  • Must clearly understand the goals of The Dog Stop and support the Franchisees in implementing operations will help achieve them. 
  • Responsible for executing and improving The Dog Stop Policies and procedures
  • Evaluate individual franchise leadership engagement, customer and employee culture, business, organizational structure and provide consultation for improving overall effectiveness.
  • Serves as the onsite representative, ensuring the new The Dog Stop Franchise location is prepared for successful opening.
  • Performs onsite visits to ensure operations, dog care, customer service and employee development are up to standard with The Dog Stop's Operations Manual
  • Other duties as assigned by the Field Operations Manager
