What to expect every day:
In the Maintenance Technician role, you will oversee the day-to-day maintenance and cleaning tasks for our Kansas City, KS facility. These tasks include general maintenance tasks such as painting, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair, light vehicle maintenance, and carpentry duties as well as cleaning communal areas such as breakrooms, walkways, and restrooms. You will also work to resolve maintenance-related queries and complaints as they arise, within your capabilities and support vendors when it's necessary to call in 3 rd party support.
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate an organized, thorough approach to your duties and a can-do attitude while being conscious of safety, cost, and timeliness. Our facility houses several large commercial freezers and cold storage units, so it would be exceptionally helpful if you have a background working in and around similar equipment, or have worked in a maintenance capacity in the food and beverage industry previously so you know what to expect in our environment.
