Southeast Gas has an immediate opening for a Construction Worker in its Enterprise Office. This job consists of installing, relocating, and abandoning gas services. Responsibilities include, responding promptly to reports of gas leaks, conducting necessary maintenance to repair leaks, and responding to emergencies. Additional responsibilities are assuring proper maintenance on all valves, preparing main tie-ins, running main extensions and service lines. Requirements for this position are the ability to operate heavy equipment, a company vehicle, and to drive or ride for extended periods of time. This position will involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and walking across diverse terrain. To qualify for this position, you must have a High School Diploma or GED, and possession of a valid Alabama Driver's License. The candidate will be required to obtain a Commercial Driver's License upon hire. Minimum of two years' experience in a related field required. Experience within the natural gas industry is beneficial.
